It gives me immense pleasure to welcome all the students of Computer Engineering Department of Thakur College of Engineering & Technology.
The vision of the department is “To become the department of national relevance in the field of Computer Engineering”.
Since its inception from the academic year 2001-02 with an initial intake of 60 seats in Graduate Programme (B.E), the department has grown up by leaps and bounds in terms of quantity and quality of the education programme. Currently it has intake of 180 seats in B.E Programme . The department also has Post Graduate Programme with 18 seats intake since the Academic Year 2011-12 and a Doctoral - Ph.D. (Technology) programme.
The backbone and strength of the department at TCET are the State-of-the-Art Infrastructure and highly qualified, immensely diligent, highly experienced faculty members and scholars along with industrial and business experts, who have contributed in preparing schemes of instruction and curriculum for these meticulously designed programs.
The department is committed to excellence in teaching, skilling and inculcating a sense of pride and confidence in our students.
To achieve the vision, holistic student development programs (through various extra/ co-curricular activities, skill development, program specific research etc.) are practiced by all faculty members to enable our students to get ready for Industry savvy and become globally employable and responsible citizens of the country.
The department endeavors to provide best professional opportunities to our students and look forward to their bright future. Department always strives to provide a conducive environment to develop a strong academic foundation, professional attitude and ethics. The department also believes in an effective mentoring and continuous motivation to achieve students all round development through curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
